Experience: Initially I started cycling in 2013. From 2014 I also started mountain biking, and especially beach races. Now, I cycle around 8,000 km per year. Besides cycling I started running in 2015, 2 or 3 times per week.
Skills: Beach races
Goals: Improve my endurance. Participating in road races and crits with my team, and trying to make the race instead of trying to follow the rest. Finish the half marathon within one and a half hour.
"In 2016 I started to work with Alan. I never trained with a specific training plan. The motto was: ‘as far as possible and as fast as possible’. I noticed that I didn’t make a lot of progression. Next to cycling I started to like running, what made it even harder to find the right balance in my training. Since Alan makes my training plans, I don’t have to worry about it anymore. Every week I send Alan my available hours and he does the rest. Although the training load increased significantly, I noticed that I am fitter and feeling better than before. the weekly feedback is useful and to the point. Questions about training or nutrition are answered quickly and very comprehensive. Alan has a significant amount of knowledge, has a clear vision and is multidisciplinary. The coaching and especially the personal contact motivate me enormously."
